| this might be a foolish question but, i am running my home pc with WINXP HOME and my service provider is AOL so, am i considerd being on a network or not? the reason i need to know is i plan on tweaking my 56K dialup modem etc. and need to know for sure before i do it. tuneup utilitys 2008 program wants to reactivate computer browser in services because it says i am on a network? i now have it disabled cause i didn't think i was considered as being on a network Thanks! ![]() |

| If you connect directly via a dial-up modem then you are not on a local network..
