ok so i am looking to buy a new wireless router right now my router is a trendnet 432 brp.
I hate it speeds ok but like the range blows. So like i would like to know of some good routers to look into getting a new one.

Linksys or Netgear usually get the best ratings.

I use Belkin and it has not let me down.

Of coarse the more you spend is going to dictate speeds and range.

the linksy supposedy has the best long range of 150 feet

ok let me describe my situation this may help. I have a basement where my main dekstop is and thats were the modem and router is for my boradband. The router is below everything which i know is not wut ur supposed to do and my mom is all like not allowing me to bring the router to ground level. But then she does not allow my laptop in the living room and my room is in the complete oposite of the router so like i need something that can power through walss and stuff.

My other question is would draft n be good for me but can u like use a b/g wireless card with it or do u have to buy a totally new card.

There are wireless extenders. Basically an antenna you would place in the middle of your house to help the wireless signals find each other easier.

Ok now this brings up a bunch of new questions.

Do i want a wireless access piont or a bridge.

I have a trend net router and on newegg they did not have any renage extenders by trendnet can i use another brand with the router.
