Default Newbie needs help

hiya

At the moment we have Broadband with BT and have a BT Voyager 100 USB ADSL modem with it.

we want to set up a wireless network as we have more than one computer, but only 1 has internet

anyways, i have been looking at Linksys WRT54GR-UK Rangebooster Router and USB Adapter

does anyone know if this would be ok to use in my situation?

many thanks

If you are all using wireless. Yes. I think.
However, i use http://www.netgear.com/Products/Rout...ers/MR814.aspx
We have 2 on the wireless and 2 wired.

I hope this helped at all.

That product is a router only, it has no built in ADSL modem. Which you need.

I fill find something more suitable.

There you go.

I have installed loads of these and they are excellent, Zyxel make very good networking equipment and have won many awards for it.

I also use that supplier everyday and they have never let me down.

Dave.

so i am looking anlong the lines of what has been mentioned

what about this
http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/118010/rb/27282491401

so with any of the things mentioned, i would still be conected to BT?
is there alot of messing or is it a simple switch over ie. just installing the router ect?

Yeah that will work fine, as for how simple.... you will need to program the router with you BT settings, user name password etc.

I wont say its easy because I install like 2 of these a day because customers can't, but we can assist you should any problems arise.
