Hello, this is my first post on this site and any help would be much appreciated.
For about a week now I have had a problem with my internet where it runs very slow. The part that makes this issue so strange is that it only goes into this super lag mode during a certain time of the day (around 3pm - 1am) then it becomes normal. I called my ISP and after sitting with a tech for about two hours trying to fix it, was told that it could be a network issue and that someone from networking would call me soon. The person called me and said that everything was fine and that it was probably just because the server I connect to is full or something like that.. But how can that be if this only just started happening a week ago out of the blue? I have DSL and use a Westell Model 327W modem/wireless router (have tried disabling the wireless but did not help). I am desperate for any possible answers to my problem, and please let me know if there is any other info I can provide to help. Thanks!

Sounds like about the time people get home from school, work etc. and start signing on and chatting, surfing and downloading. Could be what the tech said and the server is at max load and slowing down the connection.

If it is the same time all the time then hopefully the ISP will notice it and upgrade their servers to meet the demand. Sadly even the fastest PC (on the net) is ultimately at the mercy of the server.
