Yes, WEP uses a 3 byte pre-shared key and the cracker just collects enough packets to make the cracking easier.

cheers for the help though guys, where i live i dont think i need to worry so much about people cracking my wireless connection, pembrokeshire is a old community so most people just dont care about such matters
