Hey,

I bought a router recently and ive just started to download through a certain program. I was having problems where two files would hardly download and other would download fairly well. Anyway i asked around in other another forum and someone recommended to me to set up port forwarding for the program. So i followed some step by step instructions and within seconds my downloads speeded up like a shot.

Now i two questions about port forwarding.

One) What does port forwarding acually do?
Two) Am i allowing weakness in my anti- hacker/virus/spyware/etc protection?

Cheers

Rob

Read the rules, torrent and P2P is illegal and not supported by this forum.

Remove the software and post a HJThis log to prove it and we will be happy to help.
