I have twice now had large amounts of usage showing on my usage indicator, when I haven't even had the computer switched on, and once, having taken the computer away with me.

Is is possible for someone to use my connection without me being here? I checked for viruses, but found none reported. I use AVG - was using free version - since updated.

If you have a Wireless Router and you haven't set up Wireless Security, it is quite possible.

Yeah, if it's a wireless internet you have setup, the you should implement WPA encryption to protect it.

If you have already, or it's not wireless, it's unlikely, but not impossible.
