| I have just bought the above router to setup a wireless network in my house with the recently installed Virgin fibre optic broadband service. Unfortunately I'm having a few problems... I want to connect my Desktop PC, laptop and Nintento Wii to the network. The desktop PC is fine because I have that wired directly into the router, its the wireless part of the network causing me problems. (I have had both the desktop PC and laptop accessing the internet fine when they were both wired directly to the router, but the laptop loses its connection again when I try to go wireless) When I try to search for the wireless network on my Wii or Laptop it usually doesn't show up first time. I can sometimes find the network when I keep refreshing the search, and when it does appear it shows up at excellent signal strength. I can even occasionally access the internet wirelessly via my laptop and Wii, but the network soon disappears again for no apparent reason. I have tried updating the firmware for the router but the search reveals there are no new updates available. I'm pretty average in terms of computer know how and am struggling to find what the problem is. The only physical things on the router that I can see that could be causing the problem relate to the 7 LEDs flashing under the blue circle in the middle of the router (I presume these lights represent each of the 7 internal antennas?). I don't know how these LEDs are supposed to act but they are usually flashing on and off in a random way rather than staying on constantly or following a set pattern. Occasionally 2 will stay on permanently whilst all of the others are off. Also, the green light on the side of the router that represents the wireless connection is mainly off, just flashing on every 5 seconds or so. I don't know if this indicates a problem or not? Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

| Double check that you have configured the wireless connection correctly on the Router.

http://netstumbler.com/ Do you have the latest drivers for your wifi card also? If it is Intel based then Intel's web site has the drivers.
