Hello forumers :)

I am a new member to this forum, but not new to the concepts of forums in general, hopefully so far I am doing everything right (after looking over the rules).

Now I have recently purchased a wireless card (Belkin F5D7000UK Wireless 54G Desktop Card) for my desktop computer (which is a custom built machine), it installs and works nearly perfect with 2 distintive errors:
- At very random intervals, it drops the connection to my router (my laptop does not have this problem so I am assuming that it is the card). I would love to fix it as you can imagine, this causes a right pain when trying to update my computer.
- When fully connected (not aquring network address), it can only operate at 11 mbps. I have changed the mode to Wireless G and it still doesn't go any higher. I have a small feeling this may be linking to the connection dropping problem.

If you need any more information I will gladly provide screenshots and information so you can assist me with this error :) (Note that I am good with computers, just errors like this can get annoying, and it doesn't kill to ask for advice on the situation).

Thanks to anybody who can provide some help :)

I am a fair distance, however, it has the same problem when I move it close to the router. Also the signal strength is always on Very Good or Excellent where it is at the moment.

I use the Windows Wireless Zero Utility also :)

The network is secured with WPA security, it wouldnt connect to a weaker security setting for some reason.

I have updated and reinstalled a few times, and have also formatted and reinstalled windows and still the problem persists.

I was wondering if maybe the settings of the card aren't any good? And if anybody happens to know the ideal settings for the card?
