Default ps3 set-up
i caved in today and bought a ps3, but im having a few issues setting it up for the internet

i have a bt voyager 190adsl modem

i plugged it all up, connected everything, the ps3 finds my IP address, but fails to find a dns server connection

im stumped as my networking lingo is fairly useless, do i need a router to get this connection going?

Put in manual settings, the DNS server is the same as the router IP.

If you plug it all back into your PC then open the network connect properties and check status, then all the settings should be in there to copy.

na no luck, i gave up and went to train for a bit hehe, im refusing for this to annoy me

have tried different numbers as suggested here http://boardsus.playstation.com/play...hread.id=22245

im starting to think maybe i need a proper router, rather than this adsl i currently have, not too sure, irritating when you dont know if its hardware of software
