Default router and modem need help

i have a netgear mr814 and a speedtouch 536 modem and my internet works fine until i connect the router then it says i have a connection but no web pages.
i read that perhaps i have to ridge the modem but have no idea trying to get wireless network setup so the internet can be used on desktop, laptop and ps3.

Default router and modem need help

You will need an ADSL router, it must me a modem router not just a router.

It will then need programing with your ISP settings and will take the place of your current modem and software on the PC which can be uninstalled.

If it doesn't have a ADSL modem built in, no.

What model is it?

That is a cable router.

You need an ADSL Modem/Router combined, the one you want will allow you to plug in the telephone cord.

And, yes, it will take the place of all your current hardware and software.
