I have a motorola sb 5101 modem running cable internet on the usb port to my computer. The modem also has an ethernet port.

Can I run the internet on another computer as well using the unused ethernet port on the motorola modem?

My wife wants the fast internet as well on her computer!!!

Are you sure it is a modem, and not a router?

If it is a router, then you can use both the USB and the Ethernet ports to connect two computers.

Otherwise, as Dave said, get a router with a 4 port Ethernet hub, and plug both PCs in. They should auto configure.
