Hello, i've never used a mac before in my life and a friend has asked me to setup their PC and MAC for internet access via their current broadband connection. I'm not sure the best way to go about it, and so would appreciate some help if you have the time?
------------------------------------- Here is what they have: 1 x Windows XP PC connected to the internet via USB broadband modem 1 x iMAC with OS X Leopard 1 x netgear 4 port wireless router 1 x ethernet cable --------------------------------------- |

Does the wireless router have an integrated modem? Does it have a phone type socket on the back of it?
If it does, plug it into the phoneline, and then plug the XP computer into the router with the ethernet cable. Then connect the Mac wirelessly to the router. No need for ICS, and ICS is a heap of junk anyway. Don't bother with it. If the router doesn't have a integrated modem, you will have to either see if the modem you have at the moment has a ethernet socket you can plug the router into, or buy a new wireless router with an integrated modem.
