I ****ing hope you guys understood that... xDDDD ohkay All computers have internet now (that was the problem yesterday) But now I have another issue (I saw it coming but i waited until the end) Computer #1 has the printer, it is shared, and im sitting there... In my network places i can only see computer 1, 2 and 3 (of course my linksys DHCP gives them automatic Ips... 192.168.1.101 and 102) I can access both computers If i sit in computer 3 in network places i can see pcs 1, 4 and 5, but i cant access #1 which have the printer... Also computers 4 and 5 cant see #1 at all... is like computer 3 4 and 5 are in a little network apart from 1 and 2 and they cant connect each other... Main thing, Being able to print from computers 2, 3, 4 and 5... Thanks for help and suggestions.... |

| I expect that the Linkys router is just not able to support that much complexity and bridging the networks together. And I expect that XP is getting a little confused with where it is meant to be sending stuff hence printer sharing is not working. I suggest you either get a server or simplify things a bit. Or get some wireless access points and set them up in bridge modes to take the burden off XP and the wireless cards. But, considering you have got internet something is working so I expect you will be able to figure it out if you persevere enough. Good luck! Oh, and can I ask why you are trying to make such a complex network??? LOL

Yeah i suspect the same but i im trying to figure out how to get it to work... I have to make the network that way cause in the 3yr old pic that i made you can see the actuall layout of my computer here... as you can see the DSL is on the oppossite wall of the computers and running wires in the middle of the office is not an option... I didnt have enough money to purchase 5 wireless cards (which would make everybody happy) so im working with what i have on hand... yesterday i posted this: http://www.computer-juice.com/forums...problem-14452/ I figured out... but now I am in this new situation and as you just mentioned I will figure this one out also with little bit of patience and perseverance (unless Microsoft says the opposite )Thanks anyway. |
