Hi, I'm not sure whether this is a little too technical but here goes.. I think I've become a victim of traffic shaping and I'm now getting severe lag whilst playing Xbox Live (It's almost unplayable) does anyone know of a workaround to this, ie. covering my tracks. Would SSH Tunneling be possible or can I somehow encrypt my connection another way so my ISP can't limit my speed.

I have an 8 meg wired connection and have setup a static ip aswell as port forwarding etc. but they limited that about 30 minutes after doing so.

Thanks

Have you run a speedtest, what sort of ping and speeds do you get back?

Do you also download a lot?

Thats pretty good.

You may be able to set your router up to tunnel everything through a proxy but that will probably slow you down even more.

Maybe time to stop downloading so much stuff and then apollogize to the ISP very nicely. If you download illegal stuff there even more likely to target you for QOS.
