Default Strange network found?

Hi all, just looking for some advice on my wireless network...I have an unsecured wireless network in my house, I didnt bother putting a password on it because the nearest house is about 200 metres away and and the roads near the house are about 50 metres away..but lately my laptop has detected a comp to comp network called tribec at low signal strength (10%)....should i be worried or could this be nothing?...also live about half a km from an airport..could i be picking up some ultimate signal from there?

It's just someones else's network, nothing out of the ordinary.

As dave said nothing to worry about, and i doubt if you could log into their network as most have passwords, but if i were you id put a password on your network at home, just to be sure your not letting anyone go online unawares

Eh, with the distance it's probably not a big deal to put the password on. Seeing as how WEP and WPA are both easily cracked (like, within 10 minutes), and the remoteness of your house..it doesn't hurt, but I wouldn't say it's essential.

Not everyone can crack a WPA or WEP key but anyone can get into an unsecured network.
Edit: 50-200metres is hardly "remote".
