| I am considering to switch to AT&T becuase comcast's system for television is extremly buggy and whenever they "fix" it the problem continues to happen, and no matter how many time we tell them, they never truly fix it. We've never been good with comcast, they always charge us a load and never truly fix our problems Now, we are considering to switch to a bundle package with AT&T, but i heard bundles are just more expensive, are they really. we want a homephone, internet,TV package. They claim they have cable speed in my area. Is AT&T internet slower. What do YOU recomend??? |

| DSL is going to be slower but bleh. Use a third party VOIP service (not Vonage) and you can get unlimited phone packages for like $15. Get as little through AT&T as possible.

| I actually PREFER ATT over Comcast. a friend had comcast internet, then he switched to ATT Elite, and he got faster speeds. From what i understand, Comcast speeds veries from place to place. Why? because your Bandwith (not directly thogh) is shared with the houses around you who also have comcast. I guess thats the draw back with cable. ATT, however, used DSL, which is a deticated connection, in other words, it will NOT reduce your bandwith no matter how many people have the same server around you. This is just what i understand. I dont know if this is 100% accurate, but its what i have been told. It DOES explain why if you live somewhere thats has very few houses and/or people who have comcast, you get better speeds than if you live near tons of other people who have comcast as well. ATT is the way to go. cheaper and faster.

| thank you MJM. dont forget, add good rep to those who help you =D. and with that said, i highly advise ATT Elite DSL if you can get it in your area. I would get it, but they dont offer it in my exact location. But i have only heard good things about it.
