The 150 miles to the server that Speed Test tells you on your test should not make a big difference. It's the distance to the Telecom companies hub that matters.

Anyway. Don't forget truck3r that ISP's are different country to country. You're in USA, but we don't have qwest and AT&T and whatever else. Also the distance between anything does not affect the speed the information travels at. If I run at 10mph somewhere 10 miles away, it will take an hour. If I run at 10mph somewhere 20 miles away, it will take 2 hours. The speed I travel is the same, despite it being a greater difference. The time taken on the other hand, does change but not speed, it's different remember that  ..............Speed................. ----------------....-------------------- Distance... X ... Time Taken Remember those formula triangles!
