That list says there is no compatibility with XP but there is for Vista. That's bleedin' stupid if it is, XP must be the most common OS on the planet and they release a product that doesnt work with it?

Any recommendations on a router kit like that for £50 or less would be good too.

I bought a Belkin usb receiver last year for a Win 98 then turned around and bought another of the exact same model 6 months later and the software was no longer compatible with Win 98.

Maybe they are in bed with MS and pushing Vista/Windows 7 on everyone?

It's beyond stupid though to limit your sales like that..

XP is still as popular as a free five pound note so you're cutting away half your market.. that's daft by anyone's standards

It might just be that model that they have designed exclusively for Vista/7. I'm sure they have something just the same that works with XP.

The router is not OS dependant, but it's possible that the USB adaptor has drivers for Vista and not XP, although that would seem strange.

As it's Comet, why not grab it in store and return it, if it fails to work.
FWIW, I dont hink you will have a problem.

You should be able to get any driver you need from Belkin. http://www.belkin.com/support/

I have 3 of the Belkin G Wireless USB Receivers. One on 98, on on XP and one on Vista. I'm sure you can find one.
