| I have two brothers who i set up VNC on their computers. They use Windows XP and TightVNC for their server. Now i try to connect to their computer from my Linux using Remote Desktop Viewer. When i click Connect, the screen satays the same for a long time and wont let me connect, it just hangs there. and after about 10 minutes it says Connection Failed. i thought that maybe becuase im using linux it wont work so i got TightVNC on Wine and same thing happened and i even tried to do it on my Windows XP partition, same problem. Same problem happens even when i turn off their firewall. Any help??? |

| Have you tried RealVNC instead? Get the freeware version of the server and clients and try it. http://www.realvnc.com/products/free/4.1/index.html Also, are you in the same network as your brothers or are you connecting over the internet?
