Ok, here's the deal.

I have a desktop and a modem. I now have a laptop, which is mine, the desktop is the family's. We get a router. Now, I don't have the CD as it was purchased a long time ago so I look at the online manual on how to set it up. Whenever I click the setup wizard, it starts then says "Error: unable to locate or load drivers".

Then I read that all I have to do is go on the router's internal thingy 192.168.2.1, but it doesn't connect to it, connection just times out or whatever.

But here's the funny thing. The modem, desktop and router are all connected, instead of the light on the router being solid like they should, they are all blinking, Power is solid, obviously, but "modem, wired computers and wireless" are all blinking. But the internet is working fine, hence this post.

Ok, so I give it a shot, I open up my laptop, it detects the network! Brilliant! Now... problem. I don't have the HEX key and have no means of obtaining it because the way you can obtain it is by going to 192.168.2.1, but as said before, it won't conect to that.

Anybody have any idea what's going on?

Have you tried accessing the Router (192.168.2.1) from the browser on your wired PC ?

I've done it! After a lot of searching, I found that if you hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds, then reset the modem with Automatically Obtain IP Address then turn the computer off and the other 2 off. Then turn them all on, it works fine. Sounds very simple but yeah, the router just needed a reset, not just a reset like a whole system reset and then everything was dandy.
