Default Whats Happening !?

Hello,

For several years now me and my dad have been gaming and using the internet.

We have recently switched to Pipex, but theres a slight problem; my dad used to be able to browse the internet without it making me lag, but now, even when he changes a page it lags me, and if we play a game at the same time the same thing happens, If my dad isnt using his computer the internet is fine and so is my ping :/

Im just wondering if there is a simple button I can tick to solve this!? (wishful thinking I know)

Any help would be great :)

Thanks

You should both be able to use the Internet at the same time without any lag.

Have you made sure both machines are clean of spyware and/or viruses?

Are you getting the correct results when using a speed tester?

Check the small print mate, it's up to 8MB.

ADSL is crap to be honest, no one gets 8MB.

Try a online speed tester to see what speeds and ping you are getting.

It's difficult to say exactly, try the spyware and virus clean as I suggested above, that is a major cause of broadband speed drain.

I'm guessing your using a Thompson 330 modem off a USB connection Joe Yes?

I'm with Pipex and never attain 4mbps.

It also depends how far away from the BT exchange you are.

How long have you been with Pipex as it still may be initiating?
