Default Why do I have to keep flushing my DNS

I have a netgear DG834 wireless router and on the Utility warehouse(go plus) broadband.
The trouble is that the router keeps freezing or the internet keeps going down. Been in contact with their support and reset some of the settings and ok for a while and then goes again. Yesterday the broadband ok and today frozen.
What ive have to do often to get it back is do in the DNS command below

NETSH INT IP RESET RESETLOG.XXX and IPCONFIG/FLUSHDNS

Can anyone help why this is happening and is there anyway that I can sort it cos its driving me mad. If it has any effect at all I play on line game WOW a lot. Dont know if that helps at all.

Any help appriciated.

Many Thanks

It may just be overheating, try putting it in a cooler spot if you can or if you are like me! mod it and attach and 80mm fan to it lol

Now that makes sense to me cos its between 2 pc's and also there is a sky plus box above it. Not directly above it but about a foot in length. As you say it may get too hot.

Many Thanks
