I have a DrayTek Vigor2110Vn router. It cost £140! Its a huge thing with 3 antennas coming out of it. I have set up fine and my family signed up with Virgin to get internet and TV. And the speed is atroscious...

Because this crap router can't even send a wireless connection through 1 wall, I have to use my laptop in my living room and can't get a connection on my desk in my room.

Im constantly on an ethernet cable. Yesterday I have getting speed of 1megabyte!! In Korea they get like 20!

My internet used to be fine until our old router broke, why is this happening? why to me? what have I done!

Please help me, this crap connection is not worth £140.

What speed do you get, when the Cable Modem is wired directly to the PC ?

Also what Virgin package are you signed up to ? ..... you probably know that Virgin apply "Traffic Management", but if not, see here. As you can see the allowances vary, depending on your package and some are not very generous.

Sounds like a lot of the speed is being lost through poor signal strength. Check and see if there's any firmware updates for your modem/router, and if not, consider replacing it/returning it.

and im able to go half way up my road (around 30m) before mine cuts out.
Try replacing the router. Or try some larger antennas.

Are we comparing horrible Internet scores now?
