Hello! I have got a compaq laptop with windows vista and broadcom wireless 802.11g but it is unable to connect to my Dlink 624 router on my pc. I have windows xp pro and I've heard that there is a compatibility issue with windows vista and windows xp pro. Is this true? Thanks!

Is the Dlink configured to broadcast its SSID ?
If so, Can the Laptop see the Dlink ok ?
Any WEP/WPA enabled on the Dlink ?
Are you getting any error messages ?

Vista can be problematic with Networks, but at this stage, you are not connecting at all, so compatibilty with the XP box is not likely to be an issue.
