Hello! I have got a compaq laptop with windows vista and broadcom wireless 802.11g but it is unable to connect to my Dlink 624 router on my pc. I have windows xp pro and I've heard that there is a compatibility issue with windows vista and windows xp pro. Is this true? Thanks!

Is the Dlink configured to broadcast its SSID ?

If so, Can the Laptop see the Dlink ok ? Any WEP/WPA enabled on the Dlink ? Are you getting any error messages ? Vista can be problematic with Networks, but at this stage, you are not connecting at all, so compatibilty with the XP box is not likely to be an issue. My System: Home Build
