Well bought a Modem for a PC which is having all new XP etc installation and when installing the drivers for a ROHS conexant 56k fax modem the windows warning sign keeps coming up saying that this device isnt recognised by Microsoft etc etc even though the date on the drivers is 2006.

Could this be because i need to update my XP being as it is a new installation and the disc is a basic SP2 and havent been on line yet for any updates??????

I thought i had better wait for your answer before finnishing off installing modem drivers

Thanks

Install them anyway, most drivers aren't digitally signed.

That's assuming your on about the not digitally signed warning.
