Wireless advice if you would please

Hello all
Situation: i have to move my pc to another location in the house, at the mo i have a ntl cable modem plugged into a netgear wpn824 wireless and a cable from the net gear plugged into the pc, now my pc does not have wireless and i cannot keep the set up as it is in the new location because there is no where to hard wire the pc as it is now, so here is the bit i need, what do i need to make my pc wireless (card etc), i have tried having a look around on the net and got all confused (which is not hard to do) so help needed please.

You need a USB wireless dongle.

I would strongly advise DON'T GET A USB ADAPTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are easier to snap off, have to be plugged into the same USB port or XP sees it as 'new hardware', quite often don't offer as good connectivity.

I would strongly recommend a PCI Wireless card - check out the Linksys WPG54G. About 15 quid and well worth it in my opinion. Not had a problem with mine yet!

i ended up with ordering one of these: netgear rangemax wpn311 pci adaptor, will that do

good, because I'm having problems with the one i put in my daughters computer. When I get time to work on it again I'll post a thread and you and serverguy can walk me through it.
