Default Wireless Card

hi, ive posted once before about a problem im having with my internet connection/network/wireless card. the problem is, how i have to connect. i have to go to control panel>system>hardware>device manager>network adapters...and then i have to delete everything in there upon logging in. i have to restart the computer, and then select my wireless network, and since it is a secured network, enter in my network key. everytime i log in, down on the right-hand corner where you have the little computer with the signal strength, it says Wireless Connection and then a number. everytime i login and have to do the little device manager mission, it goes up. im at wireless network connection 25 now. ive system restored and i havent a clue what to do. someone once mentioned makin sure that in configure my wireless card, that the only retry selected was long only. my wireless card does not offer that option, instead has long retry, and then a number, and short retry with a number. two seperate catagories. any suggestions?
