Default Wireless Frequency

Hey. I bought a new laptop last month. I know i can change between 2 frequencies for my wireless. [2.4GHz or 5GHz] My router is not compatiable with 5GHz so i am using 2.4 with no problems. I'm gonna buy a wireless mouse for it though and they all they use 2.4GHz frequency. Will it interfere with my connection? I'm also looking for a new router. Is there any that use a 5GHz connection just in case?

no. For one they use different modularization so that the one device will not be able to obtain any logical data from a device created with different modularization. Also just because its 2.4GHz doesn't mean its ACTually exactly 2.4GHz. It actually is the 2.4GHz range. If you notice on wireless it will ask you for which channel do you want to broadcast. This is different frequencies within that range. The mouse uses a frequency different from in those channels (though may slightly overlap) and will not effect the information between the in this case 4 device ports. (your laptop wireless, your wireless broadcaster, mouse, and mouse receiver). So mainly the answer is no the reference to 2.4GHz is actually a range of frequencies instead of just one frequency that all of them are using and overlapping. And if they did overlap they would be unable to decipher the other devices coding and would throw away that packet of information.
