| ...network? I want to know if I can plug a wireless router into the network plug on the wall of the wired network. I think that we are using a 20 port switch. If it is possible what setting will i need to use to have the router work properly. Also once i install wireless router, I one of the computers that will be using the router will have to have a static ip. Any info would be great. Thanks again. No i can not change the current setup. I am sure the IT person would flip. |

| You need to disable the DHCP server on the wireless router so it won't automatically assign any IP address to the PCs on the network. Let the wired router do that or you're going to have problem. Manually assign a static IP on the PC you want with the wired router or wireless router. |
