Default Wireless network

Hi Everyone,

Please help!

I normally use my laptop in the office on a wireless basis - email, internet all ok.

I am trying to connect this to my pc/modem/router at home

I have tesco as the ISP
Thomson ADSL 330 speedtouch modem
Linksys wireless G ADSL home gateway

obviously home pc is ok

have everything installed on Laptop ( i think)

can connect with router cable direct to laptop not without

does this make sense to anyone (probably all)

many thanks in advance.

regards

Stuart

If so, Can the Laptop see your Network ?
Also any WEP or WPA protection enabled ?

Wel it should be easy to check if your Laptop can see the Dlink, but for configuration settings, you will need to check the manual for the router, as all makes/models have different firmware.

If you go into Network Settings you should have an option to view all wireless networks. If you can see your home network, then you can try to connect to it.
