PLEAASEE HELP!
Yesterday i was on my secured wireless network on the minitars ip address trying to get my ds to work online. I had ps3 a computer and 2 laptops on the wireless network allready and i changed some settings and i then couldnt get on to the internet to change it back. I reset My WAP and now we can get on except the settings are default and our network is now not secure!!!!
i need to know how to secure it with a wep key!!!
THANKYOU

Accedd your router management by typing your Default Gateway into your browser. Find this by going to:

Start > Run > "CMD" > "ipconfig"

^
Both without the quotes.

Once into the management console look for something like Security, and you can find the settings to change in there. If you tell me the make of the router I might be able to be more accurate.

Once you've applied a new key you must enter it into all of the computers and devices manually (of they did it automatically it would completely defeat the point.

These options are displayed when connecting the device for the first time, or with a PC go into network connections and find it under properties. Again given the OS of the computers I can be more specific, if you need it.

Just a point .... dont use WEP ... use WPA, it's much more secure.

WEP is completely pointless, 100% useless.

Anyone who is savvy enough to borrow your unsecured wireless network could borrow your WEP secured one.

I know this means the DS won't be able to connect, but what would you prefer? No DS online or a court order against you because someone downloaded something illegal borrowing your internet connection, which you would be liable for.
