Default wireless problem

I am trying to use a belkin wireless G router to enable my desk top PC and two laptops to connect to the internet.I have a virgin media cable modem wired to the desktop and have followed the router set up instuctions to enable the laptops to connect to the internet wirelessly. The desk top and one of the laptops (a sony vaio) work fine but the other laptop (a high grade) does not find the network even though it dose find my neighbours networks. Both of the laptops use vista home basic and the desktop xp.From device manager i have found that the Hi Grade network adapter has no problems.I have managed to connect using a usb adapter but this stopped working even though device magager says this is ok.Also with help from belkins techies which seemed to involve cloning its mac address i did manage to access the net but after shutting down and restarting a few hours later it will not work.Sorry i cant give much more information i do not know much about this subject but i can usually follow an instruction manual ok.Please can any one help .regards Andy
