| Is there a connector to convert this? Need a connector with USB dock one one end and ethernet plug on other. Do they exist? The modem came with Tiscali's set up pack for home broadband. The wireless router is a Netgear router. Do you suggest I ask Tiscali for a modem that has a USB cable? |

| The fact that your modem has only a USB connector means it is ready for replacement. You need a modem with an ethernet connector. Ethernet modems generally dial-up without a PC, whilst USB modems must have a PC attached. For the moment you can connect your PC to your modem via the usb and your router to your computer via the ethernet. The wireless router will set up and work OK but you will need that computer to be turned on to access the internet on other PC's. |
