Default 64bit Vista

Is it worth getting 64-bit Vista over 32-bit?

The only concern I have it program compatibility, will I be able to install and use any 32bit program on a 64bit platform?

I know the drivers have to be 64bit, and I have a few 64bit programs, but are there any major drawbacks to using a 64bit OS over 32bit?

There isn't, in fact it's negative performance-wise unless you're running at least 6GB or so of memory which most programs just don't use anyway.
