I can only think of 3 reasons why windows would ask to be reactivated.
1. A hardware change - usually the motherboard
2. The windows activation has become corrupted
3. The version of windows you are using is not genuine

If it is the first 2 reasons then you can reactivate windows over the internet, if that fails you can do it over the telephone.

If it is not a genuine copy of windows xp that you are using then you will need to purchase a windows xp licence in order to activate windows

Ring up Microsoft, and see what they have to say. They should be fine about it.

Once that is done come back here, read the stickies in the Virus, Spyware and Security Forum and post the logs.

Go to your start menu and select the run icon and type or copy and paste the following: C:\WINDOWS\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a. If a windows pop out saying that windows is already active, then you have a virus. If that is not the case and if your windows is genuine, just re-enter the product key. On the Activate Window chosse the second option (Activate Windows by Telephone) and re-enter your product key. Hope that help.

Thanks! But too bad the "Let's Activate Windows" Pop-up.I told my father about about this matter. But he still say he had activate this windows last year already. He says this is a virus and insist not to give me the activation code. How? My Window has a lot of important stuffs. I don't want them to just vanish away!

* If you think you have a virus read the sticky topic at the top of the virus forum and start a new thread there.
