HI all,just like to say hello to everyone as this is the first time on this site,the problem is when i boot-up my rig,after the windows logo has appeard i get a pop up window saying (lsass.exe.Application Error.The application faild to initialize properly(0xc0000005)Click on OK to terminate application.The screen stays blank (BLACK) i have tried to start in safe mode to tell the BIOS to boot from CD Disk instead of the hard drive ,so i can try and start from the Windows XP disk,also Hirens boot CD,but nothing is happening,i have also tried to wipe the disk clear with Kill Date software so as to do a clean XP install but no luck,can anyone give me any direction to as what to do next,before i go and pay silly money on a new hard drive.PS,i googled lsass.exe. and it says it is part of the sassa virus,APPRECIATE ANYONES HELP....Cheers WEG............

Local Security Authority Subsystem Service. No virus lol. Viruses often name themselves after Windows processes so you don't terminate them.

You need to get XP repaired with a CD, you don't access the BIOS through Windows, mash F2, F8 or delete as soon as you turn on your computer until you get a screen with lots of options on it then modify the Boot Order to put the DVD drive first.
