| Dell computer has blue screen with problem detected shut down to protect damage etc. tried rebooting blue screen again.can't open in safe mode or anything.checked dell website for info and tried ide diagnostics,restarted computer blue screen again. tried symptom tree and ran windows blue screen test and showed following errors. unmountable_boot_volume code oxooooooed plus 8 error codes all beginning 650F-1344,0244,137B,065D,075D,1A44 msg block 6607167 can anyone tell me what all this means |

| unmountable boot volume is a error with your hard drive if remember rightly do you have a XP disk? |

| you should be able to fix it then if u have the xp disc. stick the disc in, then reboot. u need to boot from the disc itself, u might have 2 press a key or change your startup order to do this. once the windows setup screen gets there, press R for repair. you might need to input your admin password here, if you dont have one u usually have to press enter to say its blank etc. once in the command prompt screen, type 'chkdsk /r' then press enter (without the quotation marks) your computer will then run a scan on the hard drive, hopefully fixing the error! once its done, you'll end back up at the command prompt screen, type exit then press enter, this will reboot youre machine make sure you remeber to take the cd out! hope this works for you! |
