Default Cannot open Windows 98 Image files

A couple years ago I scanned some old family photos and saved them as JPG files in C:\My Images. Have been using MS Paint to open them. Never had problem trying to open them until recently. Now when I double click to open, I get an error message 'C:\My bmp not found'. I can open them with 'Quick View" but can't print or send anywhere. I don't have a clue what changed other than switching from Explorer to Mozilla Firefox. Any suggestions appreciated.

did you try copping them to another location? then open the paint again and click on file->open and try again... maybe the problem is the location... even though is kind of interesting...

I did figure out that if I open 'Paint' first I can open the files, just as you suggested. However, I used to be able to use Windows Explorer, click on My Images (where the files are located) then double click on a file and it would open. I can't do that any more. While I haven't tried copying to another location, I did try dragging them to other locations....didn't work. I'll continue to play around with it....but at least I now know how to open them. Thanks for the suggestion.
