Hi guys,

I have 2 installs of Windows XP Home Edition. One with pretty much everything disabled, the other my usual usage partition.

However, upon the OS choice on boot they both show up as "Windows XP Home Edition". Is there anyway I can change the really stripped out one to say "Windows XP Show Version"?

Thanks

Tom

P.S. I have tried changing the productname value in the registry but it hasn't worked.

Yes, you just need to edit a file. You can get at it through Control Panel, System. Look for Startup and Recovery options under Advanced.
