| Hi everyone I have just heard of this site and am really hoping some computer. It is a Packard Bell with Windows XP and broadband. I have had the machine for approx 2 years and every time I install or download new software I have had problems. A blue page appears and states Windows has detected an error and has to close down to protect the computer. I then log in again on a restore date. However, recently several messages saying "A serious error has been detected and Microsoft must close down". It suggests a report be sent and this has been done. When it first happened the machine was sent back to Packard Bell - problem still occurred. PC World have had the machine 3 times and still the problem occurs. On instructions Microsoft provided, I found that System 32 appears to be the problem but I have no idea what this is. Can anyone suggest how I might solve this problem? I use the PC, or did, quite a lot. Thanks. |
