Hi,
Is there anyone out there who could tell me why my computer switches off while im in the middle of something,it mostly happens when I first start the computer at the beginning of the day,it might swith off about 3-4 times then it will be ok..
The screen goes a blue sometimes black...Here are what comes up..
1. Driver_IROL_Not_LESS_or_ Equal

2. Load needed DLLs for Kernel

3. Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:system32\Drivers\ntfs.sys
you can attempt to repair the file by starting windows setup using the original set up CD-Rom,select'r' at the first screen to start repair.
I have done a full reboot since this happened, but now it does it again,do you think it could be my back up discs?
Many thanks.
Vinnie.

Do a Windows repair using the XP CD.

That should sort it.

The C drive is usually the drive where Windows is installed on and will be wiped if you are reinstalling windows, you could backup all your messages on to a memory stick or otehr removable media.

No, a repair install will not wipe the drive. It scans for errors with the install and fixes them.

Have you tried starting in safe mode or last known good configuration? You could run the system file checker
