Default Computer turning itself off

Hi,hope someone can help,I have an AMD Athlon 4200+ 2.21ghzdual core,with 2gb ram and320g hard drive,Winfast PX7600 GT video card, Win XP home.
The computer works fine most of the time but turns itself off,mainly when playing Bejewelled deluxe and occasionally when Zonealarm scan is running.Has sometimes turned off when computer idle.screensaver on.Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Did you build it yourself or overclock? It sounds as if it may be getting too hot.

No, I had it built from scratch from a computer shop.

Yeah, sounds like an over heating problem.

I had the same problem and installing an extra fan did the trick for me.

If you dont want to go down that road try clearing out all the dust from inside.
