I have XP professional. Windows loads and automatically comes to a blue stop screen:
the error code is 0x00000050 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA sorry to bother anyone with this but it will not do anything it wont start in safe mode or my last known working config. i tried using the original windows cd to repair xp but it just will not work. anything i can do without having to lose all my data ?? thanks, steve |

Try booting off the windows xp cd again and go into the repair console and type "Chkdsk /f /r " that might fix your problem

hi, sorry to be abit slow but at which point should i type that. when it comes up with the option to repair (r) or install (enter) or later ?? sorry again

go into the repair option where you will have a dos type prompt, something like c>
type it in there, it should solve your problem |

not working ... it asks for an admin password and i dont know what it is so i cant do anymore. thanks for your time its good of you to try and help :)
