Default Desktop Help?

Hey, i';m new here. I have a problem with my computer when I try to change my desktop background. I right mouse click and then click properties. Then I click on Desktop and right away, this comes up, "the application is not a valid image, please check this against your installation diskete. If anyone knows how to fix this, that would be awesome!! Thanks.

Default Desktop Help?

Go to Start, run, type CMD, then in the command console type sfc/scannow
You will have to have the XP CD in the drive when doing this and it should replace any missing files!

Hopefully that will fix the problem
