Gosh, I remember this error, possibly one of the most annoying ever. And really difficult to fix.
Basically, the problem stems from when MS added cryptographic security signatures to their software. Part of the DirectX runtime dates from before this, therefore doesn't have a signature and so fails the install. I suggest you take a look at this MS Knowledgebase article and follow the steps in there. Report back if none work. |
