Have you been doing something to the video card? Over clocking it maybe?

Anyway I found this on Tech Support Forum. I don't know if it will help but sounds just like what you are experiencing.

nvcpl.dll is required for the nvidia user interface which appears on Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced. If you do not see an nvidia tab here, then your system is not working properly.

I traced this back to OLEAUT32.DLL because I downloaded some precompiled open source software from the Internet and told me OLEAUT32.DLL was out of date. Strange, since I always keep my machine up to date with Windows Update. Then it dawned on me that the installation of the old Caesar III software replaced the file with an old one, and that nvcpl.dll uses it.

I searched microsoft.com for the latest and greatest in terms of this DLL, and I found it in:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

This installs not only the latest OLEAUT32.DLL but all other related DLLs, just in case. Because this comes directly from microsoft.com, it is highly recommended that you install this. It certainly fixed my problems.

hello
i am still experiencing the same problems and i have downloaded so many things that i have probably made matters worse. i have kaspersky but ran an on-line scan anyway, it found 2 viruses and 10 files infected. my own kaspersky detects nothing. another scan told me i had trojan downloader swf.gida.a but can not find a fix for that. i feel like i am running around in circles haha.
please help... sorry i posted twice already had a slap on the wrist for that

I wish you would have saved the kaspersky log.

Run a scan with the Panda ActiveScan online scanner.
  • Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC now button.
  • A new window will open.
  • Enter your Country
  • Enter your State/Province
  • Enter your e-mail address.
  • Select either Home User or Company
  • Click the big Free Online Scan button
    • If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it.
    • It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan.
    • It will then install any definitions needed.
    • Note: This may take several minutes.
  • When update is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan.
    • This scan can take a very long time.
    • Please do not click anything in the scan window until it is complete.
  • Once the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See report button.
  • Click the Save report button and save the Activescan.txt to a convenient location such as the Desktop.
  • Exit out of Panda Active Scan.
  • Post the contents of the ActiveScan report in the next reply.

You will see the option to Disinfect my PC on the green button in the bottom of the window. You are given the option to pay for everything to be removed. Panda will not remove tracking cookies, but it will remove virus and trojans. There is no need to pay to remove any of these, they can be removed with free programs. Again, you DO NOT need to pay. It is of however your choice.
