Don't want SP1? Just use the Windows Service Pack Blocker Tool to keep Windows Update from installing it.

Thats true. I haven't noticed that feature in quite a while. Another example of M$ thinking for the consumer!

You have to do custom update, then click the plus sign and then check the box to reject an update. I have an HP laserjet one that never actually ever installs, but would ask for a restart at each update.
