hi
ive got a problem with my pc.my son tried to install win 98' on to an xp pc.but it didnt install properly and it has removed all the xp files. i tried to put the recovery disk that came with the computer but that doesnt operate properly and comes up with a fatal error.i can get dos up from the win 98 disk but everytime i put something to do with drive c: it says 'invalid drive specification'.i have tried fdisk and format to format the drive but it wont work. is there another way to format the drive.i dont have a genuine xp disk only the recovery disk so i cant reinstall xp.

please help!

sounds like your hard drive has failed. dont worry, you can get hard drives for peanuts now.
