I am having some trouble installing certain programs like Adobe reader, quicktime, and itunes.

I am running vista x64 SP1 and just updated my windows installer to version 4.5
The error message reads as follows:

ERROR_INSTALL_PACKAGE_OPEN_FAILED 1619 This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and is accessible, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.

The best I could find is that it's a language problem. I'm not a programmer or a big tech guy, but I'm trying to learn lol. Here is what I found. Unfortunately I haven't found how to fix it yet. It would seem though that there is no language code in either your Windows installer, or the programs you are trying to install. Here are the links I looked at:

http://blogs.msdn.com/heaths/archive...languages.aspx

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms533052(VS.85).aspx (this contains the language codes, yours would be sr for Serbian I believe?)

Heck I can't even find the Windows installer in my files to see which version I have .........
